What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?

Technically there is no difference; it is all cannabis. The US government identifies any cannabis plant with < .03 THC (by weight) as hemp.

Over the years, marijuana farmers have selectively bred their plants to contain high levels of THC and other compounds that interested them, often because the compounds produced a smell or had another effect on the plant's flowers.

THC creates a mind-altering "high" when a person smokes it or uses it in cooking. This is because THC breaks down when we apply heat and introduce it into the body.

CBD is different. Unlike THC, it is not psychoactive. This means that CBD does not change a person's state of mind when they use it.

However, CBD does appear to produce significant changes in the body, and some research suggests that it has medical benefits.

Does All Souls Grotto sell marijuana?

No. All cannabis products sold at All Souls Grotto are high quality, legally compliant and hemp-derived. Every product is certified laboratory tested by a third party to ensure quality, potency, and transparency.

What is the age restriction for purchasing cannabis products?

All Souls Grotto only sells cannabis and craft beer to individuals age 21 and over. Please have your ID available prior to your visit.

What is CBD?

CBD is one of many compounds, known as cannabinoids, in the cannabis plant. The least processed form of the cannabis plant is hemp. Hemp contains most of the CBD that people use medicinally. Hemp and marijuana come from the same plant, Cannabis sativa, but the two are very different.

What are the potential benefits of CBD?

Unfortunately, due to FDA regulations, we are not allowed to state that there are any medical benefits to any cannabis products. However, our customers have reported that CBD has personally helped them with sleep, nausea, stress, inflammation, withdrawals, anxiety and a wide range of other health issues.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.  Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

What are the potential adverse effects of CBD?

As with the use of any cannabis product, please consult with your physician prior to consuming. And ALWAYS consume in moderation until you are aware of any effects that the product may have on you.

Anyone who is considering using CBD should talk to a qualified healthcare practitioner beforehand.

What is THCv?

THCV is a cannabinoid that was first discovered in the early 1970s and is relatively common in cannabis plants. Though it is not as popular as CBD and THC, there are years of research supporting its benefits.

What are the potential benefits of THCv?

Unfortunately, due to FDA regulations, we are not allowed to state that there are any medical benefits to any cannabis products. However, our customers have reported that, unlike its intoxicating cousin, THCv provides high energy, mental clarity, and appetite-suppressant qualities.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.  Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

What is Delta 8?

Delta 8 is a cannabinoid that is an isomer of the more well known Delta 9. It is NOT a synthetic drug as it occurs naturally in the cannabis plant but in much smaller amounts.

Will I fail a drug test taking Delta 8?

Yes. Drug tests do not distinguish between Delta 8 THC or Delta 9 THC.

What is the difference between the Delta 8 tinctures and gummies dosage?

One full gummy is equivalent to one full tincture dropper; however, the tincture allows for more precise dosing if you wish to reduce the amount that you are consuming.

Should I take Delta 8 while drinking?

No. Even though we sell both at All Souls Grotto, we do NOT recommend the consumption of multiple intoxicating substances at the same time.

What are the potential benefits of Delta 8?

Unfortunately, due to FDA regulations, we are not allowed to state that there are any medical benefits to any cannabis products. However, our customers have reported that Delta 8 has personally helped them with sleep, nausea, stress and a wide range of other health issues.
